地震や水害のニュースをたくさん見た日のよる、布団の中で娘が「なんだか胸がくるしくてなきたくてねれない」とギュッとしてきた。「そうか、それならこの歌を一緒に歌ってみない？」と、Spotipyで「どんどんどん、ドンキー！」とドン・キホーテの歌を流しながら元気にうたってみせた所、娘もさっきの不安が一気に吹き飛んだのか、ふたりで2ループほど元気にドン・キホーテの歌を拳を上げながら歌った。そして、3ループ目の「どんどんどん」で、どんどんと声が、か細くなり、そして拳がじょじょに下がりそのまま眠りについた。まさか子守唄になるとは、ドン・キホーテのペンギンも思っていないだろう。と思って、私も眠りについた。
After a heavy day of news about earthquakes and floods, my daughter snuggled up to me in bed and said, "My chest hurts and I want to cry... I can't sleep."To cheer her up, I pulled up Spotify and started passionately singing the famous Don Quijote theme song ("Don Don Don, Donki~!").It completely wiped away her fears. For two full loops, we sang loudly together, pumping our fists in the air.By the third loop, her "Don, don, don..." got softer and softer, her fist slowly dropped, and she fell fast asleep.I doubt even the Don Quijote penguin ever expected their theme song to work as a lullaby. Laughing to myself, I went to sleep, too.
